  1. We live now in upside-down world where fascist ideology prevailed. We can see how police became occupational forces here. This is why “Stand Firm for Justice” Friday Sermon is so important. We can see what happened with Dr. David Dao who was dragged from flight from Chicago and beaten to blood by Police officers. He was still being treated in a Chicago hospital Tuesday afternoon. ” I am shocked and appalled that this occurred on a U.S.-based airline in a city in the United States of America. In my opinion, there is absolutely no scenario that should allow a passenger to be assaulted and dragged off a flight for refusing to give up his legally purchased seat on an overbooked flight —ABSOLUTELY NONE.” Comment of NYT reader. We live in lawless society where power decides everything.
Harvard Law School, one of the most prestigious institutions of its kind in the world, has posted a verse of the Holy Quran at the entrance of its faculty library, describing the verse as one of the greatest expressions of justice in history.
” O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well- acquainted with all that ye do.” Verse 135 of Surah Al Nisa (The Women).

    1. So true, Sergey. That is why people of faith and people of conscience must stand up when they witness injustice. Otherwise, our faith is hallow.
